U-Pick Hours

Our U-Pick fields are open daily 8am-4pm during berry picking seasons and 3:30pm is the latest we send individuals out to pick.  Our farm store is open  daily 8am-6pm. Closing the picking fields 2 hours before the store ensures that all berry pickers are accounted for, that their berries are paid for and that they have additional time to shop or browse the farm store before they leave.

After picking, please follow the path back to the farm store & walk through the garden center to our front register.  Berries are priced by the pound.  We accept all major credit cards, cash & personal checks.  
Discounts available for up-to-date card holders for the Farm Bureau members & Veterans participating in the Return the F.A.V.O.R program.

What we grow:

Our farm is not certified organic, but we are a pesticide-free farm.  We do not use any synthetic pesticides on our fruit, vegetable, herb, flower or leafy green crops.  Weeds are managed with manual removal, mowing or biological controls.
We grow strawberries, four different types of raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, currants & gooseberries.  Availability depends on the season and the growing conditions of each crop.
Not all crops may be available for picking.  We will keep you updated on any developments, we appreciate your continued support!

U-Pick season is a great time to get outdoors & enjoy nature in our beautiful picking fields.  Whether you're a group or apart of a local organization, everyone is welcome!  
Want to take a tour & pick some berries?  Contact us at thechathamberryfarm @gmail.com to request a tour date!  Please plan accordingly & reach out to us at least 2 weeks before your desired date!

Important information 

Before you pick:

---

Dress appropriately: sun protection, practical clothing & shoes, sunscreen & insect repellants required in picking fields
Hydration: feel free to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated while picking
Carry in, Carry out: if you bring in any water bottles & personal items, please remember to take them with you when you leave
Leave your pets at home: no pets in our farm store, garden center & especially no animals in our picking fields (Federal regulation)
Be aware: we are an active & operational farm, be mindful of farm hazards, equipment, tractors, traffic, etc. while visiting
Children:  all children must be accompanied with an adult & be supervised at all times.  No free-ranging.
Designated Picking:  only pick in designated picking fields & be respectful of other farm structures & crops
Picnicking: no picnicking in the fields.  Outdoor seating, food & drink available at The Greenhouse Cidery (open Thursday & Friday 4pm-9pm & Saturday 12pm-9pm)
